On April 2 we will include foot washing in the service for the second year in a row. Foot washing on this holy night reminds us of Jesus' own act of love for his disciples at the Last Supper. Basic instructions will be given in the service by Pastor Cover, and those who would like to participate can come forward to wash feet. Not everyone will be comfortable with this part of the service, and that is ok. Foot washing in worship is done in a hygienic manner. You sit in a chair, hold your foot over the basin (not in it), and another person kneels there and pours warm water over your feet, drying them with a towel. Everyone gets their own towel. Used towels are deposited in a basket. The person who has their feet washed then becomes a washer, kneeling at the next person's feet, so you get both experiences. Questions? - Ask Pastor Cover!
