As we prepare for “back to school”, bring your backpack or daycare bag in to worship for a special blessing on Sunday, August 23rd!

Lutheran World Relief Care Kits

It is that time of year again. We are looking for items for Personal Care Kits, School Kits, and Baby Care Kits. NOTE: School Supplies should be on sale soon! Please drop off the items and place them in the back of the church in the

Earlier this year, we collected many baby care items. To see what specific items are still needed for the baby care kits, click here.

We will be holding God’s Work; Our Hands service Sunday on 9/20 after morning service.  We will be working on several projects (see below) and need volunteers. There will be sign-up sheets at the back of the church.  We will meet in the Fellowship Hall and get directions from each project leader.

Children’s project: We will be making art and baking for first responders.  We are inviting state police to stop by and hope to have them pick up the artwork and cookies.

Adult projects: We anticipate having some yard work to do, some house repair work, and putting together gift baskets for nursing home staff.  We have posted a time to sign up for donations for the baskets. Please drop items in the library by 9/20/26. https://ttsu.me/healthcaresnackbaskets

Summer Saturday Evening Outdoor Worship

Join us for Saturday Evening Outdoor Worship this summer! Weather permitting, we'll gather outside on the church lawn to enjoy worship in God's beautiful creation in a relaxed, casual setting. Bring a lawn chair if you have one (we'll have a few available if you don't), and stay afterward for a time of conversation and fellowship.

Some evenings we may gather around the fire pit and enjoy being together. Every week may be a little different, but the goal is the same—to slow down, connect with one another, and enjoy a summer evening of faith and friendship.

If the weather doesn't cooperate—or if it's simply too hot—we'll move the service indoors. We hope you'll join us for this special way to worship together throughout the summer!

St John Prayer Shawl Ministry

WE NEED MORE SHAWLS!!

In conjunction with the prayer group, we will be starting a Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Some yarn will be available in the church library. The pattern for knitting or crochet is available on www.shawlministry.com. Upon completion, prayer shawls will be blessed by the Pastor and then will be made available to those who need a shawl as a sign of God’s loving and healing presence.

Calling All Sewers!

We Need Stitchers! Take a Quilt Kit Home

Quilt patch kits are cut and ready to go! Take a kit home, sew the quilt top, and return it so our LWR group can layer and tie it.

The quilting ladies meet the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 9:15 AM to assemble and knot the quilts.

You can help — even from home. Pick up a kit and start stitching! Kits are located on the table at the rear of the sanctuary.

Day Trips to Washington, D.C.

Bible Museum & National Cathedral

Wolf Bus Lines has scheduled two day trips to Washington, D.C., visiting the Museum of the Bible and the Washington National Cathedral.
