Trick or Treat
St. John’s is going to participate in community Trick or Treat again this year on 10/31. If you want to hand out treats, please come to the church. Costumes are encouraged! We will set up at 5:30 pm and Trick or Treat is from 6 to 8 pm. If you can’t attend, you can still help by donating candy. We only need small chocolate candies for the treat bags. We already have other candy and toys. Candy can be left in the library. As always, thank you for your help!!! LYFE Committee
Special Service for Honoring Veterans

Refreshments will follow the service. Help us say "thank you" to these courageous members of our community!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This Thanksgiving, we will be serving 7 families, totaling 27 individuals. This year, we are providing smaller food baskets with shelf-stable staples and more gift cards to allow families to purchase items that best meet their needs.
How You Can Help:
● Gift Cards: $25 gift cards from Karns or Giant. Our goal is $1,575 in gift cards.
● Monetary Donations: May be given to Angie or Kathy, or to the church office during regular hours. You may also place them in the offering plate in an envelope marked Thanksgiving.
● Food Donations: Shelf-stable items may be placed in the library.
Deadlines: Gift cards and monetary donations are due by November 19. Food donations are due by November 22.

St John Prayer Shawl Ministry
WE NEED MORE SHAWLS!!
In conjunction with the prayer group, we will be starting a Prayer Shawl Ministry.
Some yarn will be available in the church library. The pattern for knitting or crochet is available on www.shawlministry.com. Upon completion, prayer shawls will be blessed by the Pastor and then will be made available to those who need a shawl as a sign of God’s loving and healing presence.
