PRAYER GROUP MESSAGE

The Prayer Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month.  Prayers are a direct communication with God, whether in private, in groups, or using scripture as a guide.

To allow people to pray together.  A prayer group invites and encourages others to share their prayer needs and as a group, offers prayers of praise, petition and thanksgiving to God. It is a safe place for people to share their concerns, joys and heartaches, knowing that many are praying on their behalf.

The Prayer Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month.  Prayers are a direct communication with God, whether in private, in groups, or using scripture as a guide.

James 5:16   Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

First, “righteous” doesn’t mean perfect, it means you belong to Jesus, covered by His Righteousness.  James says, “pray for each other”.   I believe some of the most powerful prayers are the ones where we pray for others.  Remember our prayers go somewhere.  They go to Someone.  They slip past ceilings, oceans, land and right into God’s hands.  Join the Prayer Group, where we pray for others.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.    Carrie Ten Boom

The Prayer Box in the Narthex is for you to include prayers, concerns and joys.

The Prayer Shawls are at the back of the church.  When you need one, please feel free to take one.  Our home bound members would love to have a prayer shawl, as a reminder of their church community.
