1st Annual Community FUN Festival
Approximately 100 people of all ages attended the first annual Community Fun Festival which was held at the Boiling Springs Fire Station on June 14th. Fire company and EMS personnel showed their equipment and handed out hats and goodie bags to the children (and said they are interested in doing it again next year). People had access to free hot dogs, popcorn, fruit, cupcakes, and drinks and various games. Face painting and the photo booth were big hits. Many people expressed thanks for this free event and it was great to hear “the sound of people having fun”. A big thanks to all committees and other congregation members who helped to make this a great success. Some suggestions for the future include games for older kids, a bounce house, a game/card tent for adults, a coin toss in plates, frisbee golf game, a fishing game, a bicycle safety booth, and a prayer tent. Also, tickets could be given out and kids could trade them for prizes, larger prizes items available for more tickets.
