Special Invitation to Prayer Group
Wednesday, November 5th from 6-7 pm in the church library
To allow people to pray together. A prayer group invites and encourages others to share their prayer needs and as a group, offers prayers of praise, petition and thanksgiving to God. It is a safe place for people to share their concerns, joys and heartaches, knowing that many are praying on their behalf.
The Prayer Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month. Prayers are a direct communication with God, whether in private, in groups, or using scripture as a guide.
I Thessalonians 5: 16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Jesus Christ for you.
As the fall and winter seasons are upon us, it seems that we wake up in the dark and eat our dinner in the dark. During these times we have a God that always keeps his eyes on us..
QUOTE OF THE DAY: “In the darkness of nights cling to the assurance that God loves you, that he always has advice for you, a path that you can tread and a solution to your problem, and you will experience that which you believe.” Basilea Schlink
The Prayer Box in the Narthex is for you to include your prayers, concerns and joys.
Remember: Prayer Shawls are in the library. When you see a need, please feel free to take one.

St John - Where Faith Comes Alive for Kids!
From Godly Play for our youngest learners to SJ Kids for grades K–6, we help children experience God’s Word through stories, creativity, and connection. Faith grows best when it’s filled with wonder — and fun! Check our CALENDAR for specific meeting times and locations.

Who We Are
St. John is a growing rural/suburban Lutheran church serving the greater Boiling Springs area.
We believe the most important priority of our church is to continue Christ’s mission to make disciples: know Jesus and make Jesus known.
What We Believe
As a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we believe that we are freed by the grace of Christ to live faithfully, to serve and love our neighbor.
With our hands, we do God’s work of restoring and reconciling individuals and communities in Jesus Christ’s name throughout the world.
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Virginia Cover has been serving as the interim pastor at St. John since January of 2024. The church is in the process of calling a new pastor. Read our Ministry Site Profile.
